                    PROJECT MANAGER, English Dictionaries
                            OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to work on Oxford's prestigious
    range of English Dictionary titles. Oxford University Press is looking
    for an experienced lexicographer to join its Oxford-based team of editors,
    managing monolingual dictionary projects from inception to publication, and
    compiling and editing dictionary and thesaurus entries for individual
    titles. Familiarity with structured text and online editing is essential.
    The successful candidate will also have strengths in the following areas:

    * understanding and experience of modern lexicographical methods,
    including corpus use and computational linguistics
    * proven dictionary project management skills
    * familiarity with the needs of both print and electronic media

    A desire to innovate and embrace new ideas and methodologies in the
    rapidly changing world of reference publishing will be essential for
    this job. In return it will provide a stimulating, busy, and creative
    environment, working closely with other editors and lexicographers
    and also with design, production, marketing, and technology departments, to
    produce the high-quality products characteristic of the Oxford name.
