SAMANTHA EЯROR CORPUS is a compilation of spelling errors produced by 333
Japanese users of the English language. The age of the subjects ranges from
14 to 59, whose occupations also vary from junior-high school student to
university teacher. Whole error data was input manually because of the fact
that all words were handwritten by the informants. The name SAMANTHA is a
coined from parts of names of the students and Prof. Okada. Prof. Okada
wishes to express his gratitude to his graduate student, Satoko Fujimura;
undergraduate students, Misato Kikuchi, Aki Takahasi, Noriko Moriya and
Ayumi Suzuki. For the further information concerning SAMANTHA EЯROR CORPUS,
