For educational purposes, you can get the Ultraseek engine from
Infoseek for nothing or next to nothing. It is a real search engine
engineered to commercial standards. Installation and maintenance are
essentially trivial. None of this is true of the SDSU software which
appears to be project or research code rather than product.
