Hi!

I'm looking for a list of the 10-20 most frequent sentence-initial words in
1) French formal written language (e.g., business correspondence),
2) French informal written language (e.g., personal letters).

I've looked at a small sample of Le Monde (27.000 bigrams) and come up with
the following list (with the number of occurrences following the word):

a 8
ce 6
ces 6
cette 6
dans 7
de 6
des 6
elle 6
en 7
il 6
la 7
le 7
les 7
on 5
par 7
pour 7
quant 5
si 7
un 6
une 6

I'd be greatful for any help.

Best regards,

Alice Carlberger
