I'm no expert on this type of software and all the differences in power
and other intricacies involved, but I'm very happy with WordSmith.
Maybe I'm missing something, but WordSmith seems to do everything I/you
want, it does it quite well, and is much more intuitive than all the DOS
programs I've tried (TACT, LEXA).

You can get the latest crippled version from:
http://www.liv.ac.uk/~ms2928/wordsmit.html

Or the crippled official version from Oxford University Press at:
http://www1.oup.co.uk/oup/elt/software/wsmith?

I would like to hear what other people have to say too, so please
respond publically or else summarize the responses.

Good luck.
