    Dear corpora members,

    I am a beginner of anaphora resolution research.

    I have read the paper Outstanding issues in anaphora resolution which was
    written by Mr.Ruslan Mitkov.

    In this paper, it was said that there was a relative silence on anaphora
    resolution research in the early eights.

    I want to know why there was a silence. Was there some reasons?
