    Hi,

I thought this was a very interesting paper. It attempts to formalise a
structure for the linguistic analysis of sentiment / affect in sentences
and how this flows between subjects and objects.

A Lexical Grammatical Implementation of Affect

"In this paper we report about our research towards the use of affect in
language wherein we have attempted to formalise the affective
functionality at word and grammatical level for a fraction
of Dutch and English. These formalisations have been demonstrated in a
pilot experiment. The empirical background of the formalisation, and the
results of the experiment constitute the basis for further research on a
    lexical, grammatical implementation of affect."

While I'm at it, if anyone is particularly interested in the subject of
sentiment and affect in text, please have a look at the online community
