    You should try www.claraocr.org. It is a bit hard to get started, but
    feel free to email me if you are having trouble.

    You can also try Kooka, which supports several OCR engines
    http://www.kde.org/apps/kooka/.

    In both cases, having access to a Linux machine will make things easier,
    but with some work it could also work on Windows and Mac OSX.
