    Dear Sir,

I am in final stage of my PhD at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. I
am working in Example based Machine Translation. I am looking for
postdoctoral position in Natural Language Processing.

In my research, I have worked on the following aspects of EBMT.

1.Resource development: I have manually created an annotated (parsing and
root word information) English-Hindi parallel data of about 4,000
sentences. For word and sentential alignment, I have further created
    parallel database of 10,000 sentences.

2.Stuided word and sentential alignment , provided the improvements in
word alignment algorithm (DK-Vec and Somers algorithm)

    3. Studied different similarity measurement techniques, and provided a new
approach of measuring similarity on the basis of Cost of adaptation.

    4. Divergence
    - New Categories of divergence have been identified for English to Hindi
    Translation
-Identification of Divergence in corpora (rule based)
-Handling of divergence in input sentence for EBMT (using Word Net 2.0.,
    WSD)

    5. Handling of complex and compound sentences in EBMT.

I would appreciate if anyone can consider/suggest me about further
    research opportunities.

    Waiting for your positive response.

    Thanking you.

    With regards,

    Deepa Gupta
