    Dear all scholars,
I would like to find a source discussing about the mental processing in writing
English. I am curious about the human intuition in word splitting, e.g, when
writing the word :"symmetric", it is true or not a person will image in his/her
mind the sequential segments like: "sym", "met", "tric". Is there any
difference between a native English speaker and a foreigner regards this
matter? I would like to know about the nature of conversion from graphemes to
    sounds.
    Thanks you very much
    dinh Van
