Dear colleagues, we'd be happy to work together on a joint grant or a joint project, on any world language. There are many languages of the world which still need their investigation. I mean first of all, the frequency of occurrence of their phonemes. We have fed in our computer 111 world languages. I wonder if I should feed in my computer Fulani or Maninka, i.e. two African languages. Or may be, their corpora have already been fed in the computer. What can you advise? I wanted to compute the phonemic frequencies of Hausa, but I failed to find some Hausa text in the electronic form. I've got no Hausa text. I wonder if there is the Hausa electronic Bible? Or I should drop my Hausa project.I can take some other language instead. My dream is to compute the phonemic frequencies of the 6000 world languages and dialects. It is very interesting to see what sound picture each language creates. I wish we could establish an international team of linguists to study the frequencies of phonemic occurrences in world languages. Please, use my correct e-mail address, which is yutamb@hotmail.com Looking forward to hearing from you soon to yutamb@hotmail.com Remain yours sincerely Yuri Tambovtsev
