Two quick questions, on behalf of a PhD student of a colleague of mine:

    (1) Are there any available historical corpora of German for the period,
    say, 1600-1800?

    (2) Are there any character recognition programs for scanners which
can deal with Fraktur ("Gothic lettering")?

Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks.
