    Research Assistant to work on the British Academic Spoken English Corpus
    Project

    Grade 1A, 2 years full time - £18,265 to £22,191 p.a.

    The School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies (Reading, UK) is
    looking for a research assistant to assist in the development of the
    British Academic Spoken English corpus
    (http://www.rdg.ac.uk/slals/base/index.htm), by filming lectures and
    seminars at the university, transcribing recorded speech, and assisting
    with text encoding. This is a two-year contract.

    The successful applicant is expected to have a postgraduate
    qualification in Applied Linguistics or equivalent, and some experience
    of researching spoken language use. Experience with video recording, the
    transcription of spoken language, and/or computer skills would be an
    advantage.
