    Dear All,

A brief postscript to my recent message on ICE-GB coding. It just occurred
to me that an email Gerald Nelson posted on this issue (and my reply to it)
was only sent to my address and not to the list. In this message Gerald
Nelson points out that the <l> code is explained in the ICE-GB handbook on
    p. 98, in the section on linebreaks and hyphenation. So I thought I should
apologize for my sloppiness in consulting the Handbook. I only checked the
appendices and the index for markup characters and then browsed parts of the
book. The full reference of the handbook is: Nelson, Gerald, Sean Wallis and
Bas Aarts. 2002. Exploring Natural Language: Working With the British
Component of the International Corpus of English. Amsterdam: Benjamins.

    Happy weekend everyone!
    Best... Ute
