         Dear colleagues,
I'd be really thankful if anybody could send me their articles on distances between languages. I've written an article on the distances between Turkic and Mongol languages. I can send it to those interested. I wish I knew recent papers on genetic and linguistic distances. Unfortunately, I'm not
familiar with the work of Cavalli-Sforza and others that finds a
correspondence of genetic and linguistic distance. I failed to find the e-mail address of Cavalli-Storza and the others who research linguistic distances. Perhaps my paper
will interest you with respect to that area of research. I've got no means to read web site. What I need is the e-mail addresses. A small group of Novosibirsk linguists has built a sort of corpora of Indo-European, Finno-Ugric, Turkic, Paleo-Asiatic, Tungus-Manchurian and other world languages. Now we've got 218 languages, many of them are indangered. We can't publish our results on the linguistical distances since we failed to find the linguistic journals interested in our results. So, perhaps, we could send our articles to those interested? Looking forward to hearing from you soon to yutamb@hotmail.com
We are also looking forward to any sort of co-operation. Best wishes, Yuri Tambovtsev, Novosibirsk, Russia
