    NODALIDA 2003

    Reykjavík, Iceland, May 30-31, 2003

    First call for participation

    NODALIDA 2003, the 14th Nordic Conference of Computational Linguistics,
    will be held at the University of Iceland in Reykjavík, on Friday and
    Saturday, May 30-31, 2003.

    The conference is open for all branches of computational linguistics. If
    you have suggestions for workshops or topics relevant for special sections,
    please contact Eiríkur Rögnvaldsson (eirikur@hi.is).

    The time allotted to each paper is 30 minutes (including discussion).
    Participants who wish to present a paper are requested to submit an
    abstract no later than February 28, 2003.

    Abstracts should be written in English, Danish, Norwegian, or Swedish, and
    be no longer than 1000 words. Please submit your abstract by e-mail to
    Eiríkur Rögnvaldsson (eirikur@hi.is) in the form of plain text and in the
    body of the e-mail. (The HTML-tags ‹p›, ‹i›, and ‹/i› may be used to
    indicate new paragraph and for emphasis, respectively.)

    Participants will be notified about acceptance by March 31, 2003.

    The deadline for registration and payment for all participants is April 15,
    2003. Detailed information on registration, registration fee, etc. will be
    sent out in December.

    The local organizer has reserved some hotel rooms in the conference period.

    In conjunction with NODALIDA 2003, a one-day General Seminar will be
    arranged on May 28, as part of the Nordic Language Technology Research
    Programme 2000-2004. The practical arrangements of the General Seminar will
    be coordinated with NODALIDA 2003. More detailed information will be
    announced later.
