    Dear members,

I just started on my course in Corpus Linguistics but alas due to poor
introduction, I seem to be completely lost. Could anyone of you kind souls
direct me to any reading or sites that gives clear introduction on what is
Corpus Linguistics, the areas of concerns within the field.

I would on the whole like to know how to complie the needed corpus. I am
purely interested in technical writing ( be it technical reports or business
writing) and the methodology to analyse.

       many thanks for your help.
