Dear Josephine,
In the 450-million-word Collins Cobuild Bank of English,
there are 799 examples of pronunciation and 19 of pronounciation
(please see details below).
This is a largely native-speaker corpus, consisting mainly of
texts since 1990 (for more details, please see
http://www.cobuild.collins.co.uk/boe_info.html).
The occurrence rate of the mis-spelling is therefore very low, and
it is unlikely that it will replace the accepted spelling in the near future.

Dear all,
I'm interested in the word "pronunciation" since recently I noticed that it
is quite commonly misspelled as "pronounciation". Is this a common mistake
only among non-native speakers? Is is possible that the "o" one would make
its way through and eventually replace "pronunciation"?
Thank you
Josephine Lo
