Dear colleagues, I found the discussion about the length of words as well as the average length of word in different languages quite interesting and stimulating. I wonder if I can share my results? Please, write me: yutamb@hotmail.com
I've computed the length of words in Turkic, Finno-Ugric, Paleo-Asiatic and Tungus-Manchurian languages, i.e. I mearured how many syllables and how many sounds there were per word. I could not publish my results because I failed to find a journal which wanted to publish my article. I could publish my results on some 20 languages if you tell me which journal is interested. If you happen to know which journal can accept my article, just let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you soon to my email address: yutamb@hotmail.com , remain yours most sincerely Yuri Tambovtsev, Novosibirsk, Russia
