    TEXT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

    Oxford University Press is seeking to recruit a text development manager
    to develop the resources of the Dictionary and Reference departments
    within its Academic Division. The responsibilities will include
    preparation of texts for electronic publication, and development of
    in-house text resources (including corpora and resource databases as
    well as dictionary texts), for purposes ranging across NLP data
    enhancement/mining, external licensing, and dictionary editing.

    Candidates should have considerable experience of working with structured
    dictionary and/or reference texts and be competent in basic text processing,
    and will ideally have a background in computational linguistics or
    lexicography. Expertise in any of the following will be an advantage:

    * Perl
    * sgml/xml parsers and editors
    * DTD writing
    * corpus linguistics

    Familiarity with Unix is desirable though not essential.
