Longman Dictionaries, part of Pearson Education, is looking for a data
programmer for a few months (or possibly longer) to help with the following:

    - processing corpus data (compiling, XML validation, and POS tagging, in
    various languages)

    - XML conversion/parsing of dictionary data

    - setting up new projects on an XML editing system for lexicographic
    compilation

This could suit a graduate/undergraduate programmer or corpus linguist
willing to be flexible about working hours and who would like practical work
experience of corpus and dictionary processing.

The work is available immediately, initially for a period of approx. 3
months, and is based in Harlow, UK (midway between Cambridge and London).

If you're interested, please email Steve Crowdy
    (steve.crowdy@pearsoned-ema.com).
