                Probabilistic Prediction Of Bioactivity Using
                            Structural Descriptors

    Applications are invited for a three-year post-doctoral fellowship on
    the development of computer techniques for predicting the biological
    activity of chemical compounds in agrochemical lead-discovery
    programmes. Applicants for this position, which is a collaboration
    between Syngenta’s Jealott’s Hill research centre and the Department
    of Information Studies at the University of Sheffield, should have a
    background in data mining or scientific computing. The position is on
    the RA1A scale, with the starting salary in the range £16,775-£18,731
    per annum, and is available from 1st March 2001.
