    Dear Colleagues,

I am currently compiling a corpus of learner French (known as FRIDA -
French Interlanguage Database) and am in urgent need of more data. As
things stand, the FRIDA corpus contains some 200,000 words of data from
intermediate learners of French from a variety of mother tongue
backgrounds. We would like to double this figure. Can you help, by
providing written, intermediate-level data (essays, letters, etc)?

If you are prepared and able to help us in our quest, we would like to show
our gratitude by offering in return one of the following exchanges:

    - if the data you send us is in paper format, we will key in the data and
send you the data in electronic format (thus enabling you to start working
on it with linguistic analysis software, more details if required)
    - if the data you send us is already in electronic format, we will send you
a corpus of the same size in return

For more information about the corpus, please consult our web site:
    http://www.fltr.ucl.ac.be/fltr/germ/etan/cecl/Cecl-projects/Frida/frida.htm

Please contact me if you think you can help, need further details about the
corpus or can send me a sample.

Many thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

    Best wishes,
    Sylviane Granger
