I am a relatively silent member of the corpora mailing list, but I have
been watching the discussion concerning Jem Clear's idea and it struck
me that many people presented mostly well based theories or
considerations on why it wouldn't work. Maybe another (or parallel)
alternative would be to go along with it, especially, as Jem pointed
out, it doesn't require that much from any of us, and see where it
goes. Even the negative results (if it so happens) will be useful, and
positive ones might be invaluable,
