      Dear corpus linguists

    I am a graduate student majoring linguistics in Japan. Right now I am
    studying

    the categorization of the meanings of imperatives such as command, demand,

    suggestion, advice, wish etc. I don't know how to pick up only imperative

    sentences from the corpora. Both of BNC and Bank of English are available

    now. If someone knows the methodology of categorization of the imperatives

    in a sociolinguistic or cognitive linguistic way, please let me know about
    it.
