I am currently at the preliminary stages of manually inserting
morphosyntactic tags into a training corpus of Maltese. I would greatly
appreciate any help/hints/guidance seasoned practitioners out there can give
about SGML / XML tagging tools suitable for such a job. Please include
information about as many of the following as possible in your messages:
1. package name
2. provenance
3. platform (and hardware requirements)
4. availability
5. comments (perceived strengths/weaknesses, ease of use, etc.)
Any and all replies will be most welcome. I'll post a summary if there is a
sufficient number of responses.
