Longman produced a 30-million word corpus in the early 1990's (poss. 1991)
and for a short while it was commercially available. But then along
came the BNC and lots of other more freely available corpora, and
the Longman corpus wasn't promoted anymore, as I recall. Steve Crowdy
was my contact at the time, he may know more. I believe the editor/
co-ordinator was Della Summers.

Hope that helps,

Cheers,
Tony Rose
