Here is a summary of the responses I received:

1. Arthur McNeill, University of Hong Kong

referred me to an edited book (selected papers from a joint Hong Kong
University of Science and Technology/Gunagzhou Institute of Foreign
Languages conference). The volume is entitled, "Entering Text", edited

the International Corpus of Learner English, centralised at
Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. This is, unfortunately, a corpus of
tertiary EFL only, but it may be of interest for you. There's a link

list there plus contact addresses - Sylviane Granger's being the
most important. Also, at my Web site you'll find a few abstracts and
texts of some of my papers - with the latest I used comparative
