(Forwarded for a colleague---hope it's not too far off-topic...)

The Brigham Young University Translation Research Group (TRG) and the LISA
Education Initiative Taskforce (LEIT) are working together under the
leadership of Dr. Alan K. Melby to determine the state of education in the
language industries and the need for development of educational materials,
particularly in the areas of localization, internationalization and
globalization of high-tech products, all areas which require significant
linguistic savvy and awareness. The results of this study will be posted on
the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) website
(http://www.lisa.unige.ch) later this year.

If you know of any courses, course modules, or training programs anywhere
in the world which deal with these topics, please visit
http://www.ttt.org/LEIT/survey.html and fill out the online information
request, or send an e-mail to Arle Lommel, the project director's executive
assistant, at leit@ttt.org.

Thank you,

LISA Education Initiative Taskforce
