Apologies for duplicate posting!

Hi Everyone,

I'm writing a paper in which I compare types of linguistic norms
that affect EFL and learner corpus analysis. Regardless of the
text-type constraint, I distinguish two basic empirical and
corpus-derived norms: native EXPERT performance corpus vs.
native LEARNER performance corpus. Naturally, these two are
also related to a non-empirical norm which native users of
English have built in internally and which they refer to in their
everyday language use.

Has anyone been studying this strongly pedagogically charged
issue? I'd be willing to hear your comments and suggestions.
Could you direct me to sources, whether corpus-based or not,
where the question of norm in teaching - especially at the
advanced level - is considered in a way that may deepen my
approach?

A summary of responses will be posted.

Many thanks,

Przemek Kaszubski
