Corpora: transcription shortcut?

I have a semi-serious question. Has anyone tried using one of these $99
voice-recognition systems now available in computer stores to produce a
first pass of an orthographic transcription of speech? Any comments on
the quality of these programs (one from IBM and one from Dragon Systems)?

I am tempted to try it, but I would like to know whether I should save my
$99 for something else.
