Dear All,

Request -

am trying to find out as much as possible about programs
that have been written which check the syntactic integrity of corpus
encoding. Note I am not interested in attempts to check the validity
of part-of-speech tags etc, but rather programs which check, say,
whether DTDs have been adhered to, or check that SGML has
been properly applied to a document. If you have such a program, could
you please send me a description of it, saying a.) what it does b.) what
corpora it has been used on c.) whether it is available for use by other
centres

Explanation -

this is part of on-going work between ELRA, Oxford and Lancaster
on standards for corpus encoding. We want our review to be as inclusive
as
possible, so please do reply.

Apology -

some of you may receive this message more than once - sorry.
Also, we may have already emailed you individually with this request -
sorry
for the spam.

Best Wishes and Anticipatory Thanks,

Tony
