Fr. Roberto Busa, S.J. is a pioneer in the the field of computational
lexicography and statistical text analysis. You might want to check his
CD-ROM publication of the work he has done with IBM since '50. Here is a
description I found through Altavista:

1. Thomae Aquinatis Opera Omnia Cum Hypertextibus in CD-ROM,
Auctore Roberto Busa S.J. (Editel publisher, Licosa
foreign agent).
2. Libreria Commissionaria Sansoni s.p.a (Licosa)
Via Duca di Calabria, 1/1 50125 Firenze, Italy
tel: 055/645415, fax: 055/641257
3. Theology, philosophy
4. Thomas Aquinas, other medieval authors
5. Latin
6. Conceived as complementary to the Index Thomisticus. 118
writings of Thomas Aquinas as well as 61 writings of
other medieval authors belonging to the same cultural
milieu. Offers the possibility of hypertextual
consultation, i.e., each of the 10,631,973 words can be
consulted in context together with its typology codes,
both by lemma and by form.
8. CD-ROM available from Licosa. US$ 994

Hope this helps,

AM

Subject: Corpora: Fwd: Ecclesiastical Latin Word Frequency Lists?

A colleague who teaches ecclesiastical Latin wonders if anyone has done a
table which identifies the most frequently used words in ECCLESIASTICAL
Latin, as such tables exist for classical Latin and Greek; alternatively,
if
anyone has encountered a set of flash cards of the e.g. "1000 most common
words in ecclesiastical Latin"--or the 500, or 250, or even 100! Students
would be grateful for a sense of which words they most need to memorize.
