Hey, I hardly think a few ME TOOs consitutes a *consensus* for moderation.
Spam is a fact of life on the internet and I don't find the situation
on Corpora too bad. I have a filter set up on incoming mail which ensures
I am not troubled by the routine stuff.

I value unmoderated lists. It seems to me that the idea of an automated
system that politely returned first postings with a request to repeat the
posting if it is a serious one would be quite sufficient to block the vast
majority of spam. Apart from such a system (which is no more than an
automated form of subscribing) my vote is against moderation.
