Computer Scientist
Manning & Napier Information Services (MNIS) develops and deploys cutting-edge
technology for large-scale text retrieval and information analysis. Its

government agencies. MNIS is based in Rochester,NY and is affiliated with
Manning & Napier Advisors, an investment advisory and consulting services

We are looking for an innovative person to join our MAPIT team. This person
will contribute to all phases of the project from research to system design to
algorithm development to final implementation. The MAPIT project involves
indexing over 100GB of natural language text, analyzing relationships among
millions of documents, and providing real-time access to the results over the
web using natural language queries and interactive visualization.

Qualifications
-Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence (Ph.D. in another science or math area is
acceptable with appropriate experience.)
-3 years experience in non-academic software development.
-Excellent programming skills using C,C++,Perl,HTML/CGI on a Unix/Solaris
platform.
