To Whom who can help me,

my name is Olaf Stocker, i am a 1st semester student on romanistics in
Bareuth, Germany.
We are working on a project to the positioning of attributive adj. in
the written spanish language.
Up to now the corpuswork is handmade:
One takes a book and two pencils (lets say a green one for all prepositoned
and a red one for all postpositioned adj.) and starts marking.
For my part a highly mecanicall process like this should be full or at least
partly computerized.
Right now i'm looking for tools which can do this job.
I have a program in mind that can handle a text as ASCII-Code and which
allows the user to...
-go through the text with the cursor from word to word
-mark a word as adj., e.g. per mouseclick (the word should be added to a
list, e.g. an array)
-get a list of all words in the text allready marked as adj. to categorize them
As You see, I'm looking for a rather basic and simple tool to handle a text.
Secondly i'm looking for textmaterial available on computer, say books in the
internet. If not, i would have to scan books and to translate them with
OCR-software.
I really appriate all kind of help and hints You can give me on this subject.

with best regards

Olaf Stocker
