Being accustomed to the role of the NIGGER IN THE WOODPILE, but not
wanting to put this guy's BUSINESS ON THE ROCKS, I must say that the use
of Baroque expressions such as those listed in this message are the cause
of much of the writing of NNS speakers being AS DULL AS A DITCHWATER
(sic). I dont know if this list might end up as a guide to production, but
many like it often do, thus providing lexical grizzly bears that are FALSE
TO THE CORE in their representation of English. This is definitely a case
where HALF A LOAF IS *not* BETTER THAN NONE.
