Please IGNORE THIS if you are not a UK academic.

EPSRC allows anyone who has submitted a grant application over the past
couple of years to vote in elections for `peer review college'.
Recently they sent out reminders to vote by Nov 5 - I *guess* this means
response has been low. If you have a ballot paper and havent returned it,
please DO SO NOW and consider nominating Corpus Linguists. You can vote
for 3, including up to 2 academics and at least 1 industrialist.
I suggest Geoff Leech and Antoinette Renouf have served our community well
and deserve re-election. If you can't vote for them (eg you are from the
same institution and con't vote for `your own team') then I'd be more than
happy to be nominated. As for industrialists - I guess it makes good sense
to nominate someone you have prospects of collaborating with.

Anyway, please vote NOW or the EPSRC College 10 (IT&comp sci) may end up
with no-one appreciative of corpus linguistics...
