Job Opportunity for Experienced Language Modeller

ATR, of Kyoto, Japan, is seeking an experienced professional in the
field of language modelling for speech recognition, for a 1-2-year

The assignment features both a development and a research component.
The main desideratum is proven experience at language modelling for
working speech recognition systems--the more experience the better.
Additionally, demonstrated ability at experimentation in the field is
necessary, as well as an ability and a willingness to work easily and
flexibly with others and to provide tutorials in language modelling
techniques to acoustic modellers who wish to "retool". The main
application domain involved is English-language 1000-2000-word-vocabu-

Salary and benefits package competitive. Desired start date March 1,
1997, although earlier start dates can be discussed.
