It's a pity John (or others) didnt explicitly state any conclusions.
My inference from the data is:

We now have empirical evidence that it is NOT "wrong" but quite acceptable;

>and that 'Fifth Anniversary' would be "better".
More frequently used, but NOT "better" - any more than, say, passive
constructs and "better" than active ones by dint of higher frequency.

However, others are free to interpret the evidence differently...
