LEEDS: 2 lectureships in TESOL

Lecturers in TESOL - 2 posts

Post 1 (Ref No: 28/187) This post is available for a fixed period of 21
months in the first instance. The appointee will contribute substantially
to the development and delivery of short courses for TESOL
professionals, principally from overseas and will also have the
opportunity to work on our BA, PGCE, Diploma and Masters
programmes. Applicants should have an MA in TEFL, Applied
Linguistics or equivalent, experience in teacher education overseas,
and a specialist area of interest. An interest in one of the following areas
would be an advantage: Teacher Education, ESP, or TESOL for Young
Learners. Post 2 (Ref No: 28/188) The above post is available for a
fixed-term of 1 year, to provide cover for the secondment of an
established member of staff. Applicants should have a specialist interest
in Testing and Evaluation, should hold an MA in TEFL, Applied
Linguistics or equivalent, and have experience in teacher education
overseas. An additional interest in the study of TESOL in its
Socio-Political Contexts or Large Classes would be desirable. A PhD
would be an advantage. The appointee will contribute principally to our
BA, Diploma and Masters programmes and to occasional Short
Courses.

The posts are available from April 1996 (or sooner depending on the
availability of the appointees). Salary will be on the scale for Lecturer
Grade A (£15,154 - £19,848 p.a.) or Lecturer Grade B (£20,677 -
£26,430 p.a.) according to qualifications and relevant experience.
