Managing bibliographic data

Hello all, and happy summer....

I have been working on organizing the resources I have gathered for my
dissertation. Since this is in itself a formidable task, I thought it
only made sense to use some of the electronic tools that are currently
available for bibliographic management / generation. I recently
downloaded a demo version of Reference Manager (RM) from the net. I also
came across a good number of other such tools on the WWW. I was
wondering whether anyone on the list is currently using or has had
experience with RM, and might have some info worth sharing. Likewise, if
anyone currently uses another tool (PRO-CITE, END NOTE, etc. etc.) or
has had a particularly bad experience with one, I'd be grateful to hear
about it. Finally, if anyone is aware of shareware versions of such
tools, I'd welcome information on those as well (since these can be
expensive....)

I appreciate any input, and I apologize if this is not directly relevant
to the list's topic, but I seem to recall seeing a discussion of this
several months ago, and I think it was on this list. Thank you in advance.

P.S. I will be using WordPerfect, but I imagine that most biblio tools
can handle that format.
