A vacancy has arisen for a full-time researcher in the Centre for English
Corpus Linguistics at the Universit{ Catholique de Louvain, commencing
September 1 1995 for a period of 10 months. The pre-tax salary will be in
the region of 84,000 BF.
The position will involve analyzing a large corpus of French native EFL
writing with the aim of drawing up a comprehensive catalogue of typical
learner errors. The successful candidate will therefore need to be degree
qualified (in language or linguistics), a native speaker of English,
possess a good knowledge of English grammar and have some experience
of linguistic research. You should also be computer-literate and have some
knowledge of French.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview at the
university (in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium) on Friday August 4, 1995.
