The School of Computer Studies at Leeds University is seeking 2 Lecturers,
and the University is also offering a number of Research Fellowships.
Applicants are eligible from a wide range of disciplines, but I personally
welcome Corpus/Computational Linguists to apply! I can supply some background
on corpus-based computational linguistics research here.

Lectureships

The School of Computer Studies wishes to appoint two fixed term (5 year)
lectureships. One will be in the general area of software engineering.
The other may be in any area of computer science, artificial intelligence
or information systems particularly: computational logic; computer
vision; decision analysis and support; information modelling and
management; natural language processing; safety critical computing;
scaleable systems and algorithms; scheduling and constraint management;
scientific computation and visualization; and virtual working
environments.
Applicants should have a first degree in computing or a related
discipline with a relevant postgraduate qualification, ideally a PhD, and
prior experience in teaching, preferably in higher education. Industrial
experience would be an asset and may, in certain circumstances,
compensate for the lack of graduate or postgraduate qualifications.
Salaries will on the Lecturer A/B scales (currently £14756 to £25735)
according to qualifications and relevant experience.
